Job Description

As an Asian Wedding Sales and Event Co-Ordinator, it is your responsibility to ensure a smooth operation from the initial sale to the running of the Asian Wedding from start to finish. Our venue has an optimisation of holding weddings for up to 750 guests with VIP bars, world class catering, lavish interiors and views of the fabulous polo pitches over 650 acres of land. This role is focused on supporting the events team in driving the high end Asian wedding sales and event co-ordination at the 5 star wedding event centre, The IXL Events Centre. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Events and the rest of the team, you will assist with the co-ordination and delivery of Asian weddings and assisting with other events from an initial enquiry through to overseeing the event on the day. This is a very hands on role, with the expectation of your presence at the events, ensuring smooth running, consistent, professional brand delivery and a helpful, friendly service. This role may include working evenings and on weekends as required by the business.

Attention to detail, excellent product knowledge, working well within a team and the ability to work independently are all essential for this role, along with a positive attitude, willingness to undertake varied tasks, and a confident and presentable manner. The ability to communicate clearly, confidently and in a professional manner with clients and colleagues is also of key importance.

Desired Attributes

The key duties of the role will include but no be limited to:

  • To be polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers, clients and colleagues
  • To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times
  • Working and understanding with the current CRM system, IVvy
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with external clients/suppliers
  • Understand and deliver all contractual terms
  • Ensure all customer requirements are communicated to all departments in advance to ensure effective planning
  • Ensure all client events are delivered to the correct standard and look to up sell to increase revenue
  • Part take in exhibitions, wedding fayres, fam trips, networking events as per the business’s needs
  • Be actively involved in the planning, selling and operational side of Christmas with the team
  • Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines
